Girl Friday Productions was formed in 2006 by Roslyn Ure and Emma Jane Sweeney with the purpose of:

  1. Creating and developing material by new writers and performers.
  2. Encouraging the development of artists’ skills and the creative economy.
  3. Using our skills and material to help others create.
  4. Help others outside the performance arena realise their potential.

We were brought together whilst training in Musical Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. We realised that we had shared similar experiences in our previous corporate roles and a passion for creating characters based on real people. We devised our first production; Working It Out! to combine our skills and experience.

We also like to provide opportunities for other professional new talent and our current production: Secs, Lies and Hazard Tape also contains songs written by Laura Gillions and also features another new performer Lionel Bishop.
